Right now I am running Fedora Core 6 on an old Athlon XP processor. I am
considering trashing windows on my newer machine and replacing it with
Linux. The newer machine has an Athlon 64 X2 3800 processor. For every day
home use would I be better off installing a 32 bit or 64 bit version of
Linux? Will both support dual processors?

Thanks
Grant

Been through the exercise recently -- 64 bit gives about a 10% performance
gain on the same hardware here (Intel Core2Duo) -- as measured with kernel
compile times and glxgears.
