If you already have a >2 GB partition and a swap partition 2 x your ram. yo
can install it by typing 'knoppix-install(er)' in a shell. Go to super user
first ny typing 'su'.

If you have a memstick with >2gb space it should work..

Thank you for the information.I'll try to intall to hard disk with
'knoppix-install(er)'.

I have 256 MB USB memory stick.
How can I install ABSOLUTE minimum of Knoppix (without any X windows and
any development tool etc.). All I need to boot from USB and start telnet and
ftp servers so that I can access it from another machine to load and run a
console application.

Thx.

Knoppix want to use >2 gb, but take a look at 'RUNT Linux' I tested it on my
128 mb mem-stick, I did not have room for ant gfx gui but it worked.

There is another live Linux distribution - a Damn Small Linux
(http://www.damnsmalllinux.org), which is developed from Knoppix, and is
designated to a very small instalation.

You could also try "feather linux" or "puppy linux".
