Anybody know what is happening when the boot-up sequences pauses for about
24 seconds with the message:
lp0: using parport0 (polling).
Is such a pause normal? Everything else during boot-up seems to fly by so
much faster.
"uname -r" gives: 2.4.27-2-386
The parallel port is connected to a perfectly good HP 4l
which prints fine once the (debian 3.1r1) system is up an running.
